SIS to Dramatically Reduce Need for Storage Infrastructure Investment .
DALLAS- Paris-headquartered Seanodes, today announced at SNW its company’s launch in the United States, as well as the creation of the Shared Internal Storage (SIS) concept, which provides an efficient, reliable and user-friendly approach to radically improve the global performance of the computing infrastructure while drastically reducing the need for external storage and its associated costs.
This unique and groundbreaking technology will be officially unveiled next month, creating a new paradigm for commoditized infrastructures and allowing customers to intelligently increase storage capacity by re-claiming unused disk space within existing application servers.
Led by an experienced management team that includes industry veterans from NetApp, StorageTek and Sun Microsystems, Seanodes has positioned itself to quickly become a leader in the storage industry by combining the best elements of NAS, SAN and DAS to benefit users in a whole new way.
CEO Jacques Baldinger exponentially grew NetApp’s revenue in southern Europe while generating exceptional margins when he served as the company’s regional managing director. CTO Christophe Guittenit’s doctoral research on storage in high-performance systems requiring high availability has opened new perspectives in utility computing. And Frank Gana, Seanodes’ Marketing Director, has an investment background in IT projects stemming from research laboratories from his time as an Investment Director at a French seed-capital investment fund.
“We are a well-funded company with the business acumen and technology expertise befitting the largest and best-known corporations in the storage industry, and with our Shared Internal Storage technology, believe that we have developed the most efficient, convenient and affordable way to manage data on the market today,” said Baldinger. “After several years of research and development, we are eager to share our innovative approach with companies looking to improve their storage infrastructure while drastically reducing the need for additional expensive and hard-to-manage hardware.”
Seanodes is currently establishing a network of premium technology and distribution partners to provide the market with SIS solutions that meet user needs and solve the most challenging of user problems. Together, the companies will help businesses be more efficient while simplifying the computing and storage infrastructure while minimizing total cost of ownership. Partners include IBM, Fujitsu Systems Europe, Microsoft, Mandriva, ServiWare and Communication & Systeme.
