Beta version currently in testing stages; special licensing deals available
Boston, Mass., March 10, 2009 – Seanodes, the creator and leading developer of Shared Internal Storage solutions, today announced a Beta version of its Exanodes™ software for Microsoft Windows Server 2008, enabling these users to repurpose commoditized or existing hardware as an iSCSI SAN.
Seanodes’ award-winning Exanodes software combined with Windows Server 2008 and standard commodity servers enables companies to build a highly reliable clustered iSCSI SAN with high performance. Exanodes supports a very large range of servers and disks, including SATA and SAS disks and even SSD. Exanodes provides extreme versatility when it comes to aggregating different kinds of servers and disks in a single storage pool, enabling investment protection as well as total hardware vendor independence and the ability to build an iSCSI array really tailored to fit a company’s needs.
“Windows users have been waiting patiently for Exanodes to be available for their environments, because we’ve developed a better alternative than iSCSI SAN boxes for those who are challenged to do more with less,” said Frank Gana, Business Development Director at Seanodes. “In the past, the solution to storage problems was to buy expensive proprietary hardware and software but this model is clearly unsustainable for businesses today.”
Exanodes is not only less expensive than traditional storage solutions currently on the market, it allows fast rebuilds thanks to an intelligent, innovative approach that distributes the RAID set across multiple network nodes and minimizes the risk of a second disk failure during the rebuild window.
